Welcome

You want friends to share your joys and your sorrows. You want a warm and caring environment for family events, to celebrate the cycles and seasons of Jewish life. It’s all here for you at Highland Park Conservative Temple – Congregation Anshe Emeth.

The Covid-19 pandemic created challenges, opportunities, and many changes, but one thing remains the same: your Temple family is still here for you. The heart of our shul is not our building, but our community (and don’t we know that well!)  How wonderful that we now can come together as a community, in person, for Shabbat services as well as for some programming! Won’t you join us?

We are the perfect place to make friends and build connections in your local community. People of all generations get together here, from children to singles to young parents to retirees. During kiddush after Shabbat morning services or over a light snack before an engaging presentation, you can catch up with friends, arrange a play date for the kids, or chat about the week’s events – at non-pandemic times.

You’ll find a broad range of Jewish identity and observance here, from people for whom Shabbat and holiday observance is central in their lives to people who express their Judaism through social action or identification with Israel. We support you wherever you are on your Jewish journey, and we offer a variety of ways for you to enrich your Jewish life and connect more deeply with your heritage.

Your children will find a home here, too. We hold young people’s Shabbat services every week for different age groups as well as educational and social programming where learning, song, and play lay the foundation for a lifetime of Jewish commitment.

The best way to get to know our temple is to drop by. Come see a movie. Sit in on a class. Join us any Saturday morning for a Shabbat service. Visit during the week to tour our new building and state-of-the-art child care center. Or schedule time to talk to the Rabbi.

Your community is waiting for you. When can you visit?
